The Molecular, Integrative and Cellular Biology Doctoral School (ED BMIC) of Lyon covers a vast field of study within the biological sciences. The school gathers together some one hundred research teams working for a better understanding of biological processes, from the regulation of gene expression to an integrative vision of biological phenomena.
ED BMIC stands out for seeking to integrate biological mechanisms into functional issues and to compare as much as possible normal and pathological situations. Furthermore, thanks to the many HDRs (accredited research directors) working in its laboratories, the doctoral school guarantees quality supervision and training to each of its PhD students.
The Molecular, Integrative and Cellular Biology Doctoral School is one of 4 biology doctoral schools among the 17 doctoral schools at the Université de Lyon. ED BMIC benefits from the scientific resources and networks of the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, to which it is attached, as well as of ENS Lyon, associated with the doctoral school project.
